At the 2012 Global Health and Innovation Conference at Yale University hosted by Unite for Sight, he recorded this “Crazy One” with Tyler Gage, President and Co-Founder of Runa. When he was traveling thru the Amazon for a college linguistic study, he first encountered GUAYUSA (gwhy-you-sa), a native Amazonian tree leaf that has been brewed like tea for thousands of years by indigenous communities.
Realizing this new energy drink could help preserve the culture and traditions of these Amazonian people, he and his co-founders have launched Runa with the vision of creating an equitable industry benefiting the growers, consumers, and greater community.
